L’ONG Proactiva Open Arms augmenta la seua flota de rescat humanitari amb el nou vaixell “Open Arms Uno”. Aquesta embarcació compta amb una eslora de 66 m i una mànega de 15 metres va ser construït l’any 2000 amb l’objectiu de rescatar treballadors de plataformes petrolieres. D’aquesta manera, el nou Open Arms Uno disposa d’una gran capacitat operativa, principalment per les seues instal·lacions sanitàries com per la disponibilitat de fins a 4 llanxes de rescat. La capacitat d’aquest vaixell permetrà poder allotjar a cobert a moltes de les persones rescatades, principalment a dones i xiquets, per tal de protegir-los de les dures condicions de la mar a l’hivern.
L’embaracció s’esta ficant a punt al Port de Borriana i des de L’Aurora – Grup de Suport estem col·laborant amb ajuda logística i mediàtica per a que molt prompte pugiuen emprendre missió de rescat.
Aquesta nova adquisició ha sigut finançada per la filantropia, concretament per l’actor italoargentí Enrique Piñeyro, havent suposat una despesa de més de 2,5 milions d’euros.

The NGO Proactiva Open Arms increases its humanitarian rescue fleet with the new ship “Open Arms Uno”. This boat has a length of 66 m and a hose of 15 meters was built in 2000 with the aim of rescuing workers from oil rigs. In this way, the new “Open Arms Uno” has a large operational capacity, mainly for its sanitary facilities and for the availability of up to 4 rescue boats. The capacity of this ship will allow many of the rescued people to be sheltered, mainly women and children, in order to protect them from the harsh conditions of the sea in winter.
The boat is finishing cuts and getting ready in the Port of Burriana and from L’Aurora – Support Group we are collaborating with logistical and media help so that very soon they can undertake rescue missions.
This new acquisition has been financed by philanthropy, specifically by the Italian-Argentine actor Enrique Piñeyro, having involved an expenditure of more than 2.5 million euros.
