L’AURORA – Grup de Suport is an entity aimed to assist and cooperate with NGOs of the mediterranean humanitarian civil rescue fleet. We display our work in the Solidarity Ports of Borriana, Vinaròs, Sagunt and Benicarló.
The tasks of support from civil society and social, cultural and political movements in our area towards the rescue NGOs began in 2018.
Due to the constant influx of boats and the need to provide optimal cooperation, the entity L’Aurora – Grup de Suport was formally founded on April 14, 2021. This report includes part of the activity carried out since then.
Currently, there are volunteer groups with more than 120 people with very different profiles. All these volunteers respond to the calls of L’Aurora to collaborate with civil rescue entities or with the activities developed by our own association.
In addition, we have teams of volunteers in different areas of coordination and project-design that work selflessly on a daily basis to consolidate our Solidarity Ports, serve as operational tool and channel the solidarity and resources of the population to carry out political, humanitarian and transformative actions.
We keep on fighting inland to help save lives at sea.
